Public Process

The Public Involvement Plan is designed in the spirit of the CCMPO's Public Participation Plan. The plan is predicated on an effective public involvement and public outreach campaign that involves transportation stakeholders and the broader public early in the process, checks in with them frequently, and then supports an outreach effort to present the final plan.

The primary public activity will be a series of three Public Workshops. The purpose of the meetings is to gather meaningful input from and disseminate information to area residents, businesses, institutions, and other stakeholders.

The Colchester Avenue Corridor Plan is sponsored by the Chittenden County Metropolitan Planning Organization (CCMPO) in partnership with the City of Burlington. Information from these meeting will be used to plan for more efficient and safe travel in the corridor for vehicles, pedestrians, bicycles, and public transit.
